When I was a young girl my mother once told me I had been given a very precious gift in this lifetime. As she attempted to explain what life would be like with the sensitive, tortured heart of an artist, I remember thinking it sounded like a curse...Artistic expression. My calling. Words have always been my weapon of choice in this battle to turn my deep, ominous thoughts and feelings into something beautiful. I am facinated by beauty and it's creation. It seems as though I am here to interpret much of the human experience and turn it into art and poetry. Quite the challenge. My life has always been intense and felt somewhat traumatic. Darkness, depression, addiction, and heartache have been strong underlying themes but these same concepts led me to poetry. Like a moth to a flame, as they say.

I strongly aspire to be a writer, an artist, and a muse! I want to authentically connect with people and share my writing. I hope that you will enjoy my thoughts and I would love to hear yours...
